The Indie Van

We are in the middle of a media revolution; high-budget films are giving way to no/low-budget films; expensive film cameras are losing sales to tiny SLR HD cameras, and cinema houses keep losing customers to video-on-demand on TV and cell phones.

 

Producing new media is changing too. We’re all trying to keep the costs down, while pushing the quality up. That means using smaller crews and working smarter with the resources we have. That's why we put the Indie Van together.

 

Based in Portland, Oregon, the Indie Van is something different. We’re a mini grip truck with cameras, crane, dolly, lights, c stands, grip gear and a great staff of one (I come with the van), and we’re offering all of this at a price that low-budget productions can afford.

 

We can work with you in two ways:

 

First, we provide equipment:  delivering cameras, audio gear, lights and grip gear to your location – on time and in working condition. And since I come along with the gear, you also get an extra crewmember. Audio is my forte, but I also can grip, help with lighting or shoot behind-the-scenes stills and video. So take a look at our equipment list to see what we can provide.

 

The second way we can work with you is as a production company. Not only will we provide gear, but we’ll also bring the crew to use it. We are always looking for partners and new ways to collaborate, so if you have a project, give us a call.
